MEZZA ZITA 500g
Mezza Zita (half Zita) belong to the hollowed dried pasta family. They have an elongated and rounded section and they originate from Campania. With a rounded section, they have a 5,7 mm diameter, they are about 48 mm long and have a thickness between 1,02 and 1,10 mm. As tradition wants it this format should be broken by hand before tossed in the boiling water. Mezze Zite are usually used in the making of both baked casseroles and dried pasta dishes with Neapolitan ragù or alla genovese, with a sprinkle of Parmesan or percorino cheese.
